How the Map and Zone Progression Work

The Throw Food For Animals map puts stronger animals farther down your throwing path. Reaching those areas gives you access to animals that can dramatically increase your income. Train your Throw Power, upgrade your food, and use the animal index to track what each area holds.

Your food’s landing area matters: longer throws reach different animal pools. Early progression takes you through the forest, savannah, desert, and jungle, while later throws reach areas including the ocean, mountains, and deep waters. The Halloween areas extend the route beyond ShadowRealm into HarvestField and PhantomHarbor.

Focus on reaching the next area before chasing every animal in your current one. Animals from later zones can offer a much larger income increase than a rare catch from an earlier area.

Early Areas: Forest Through Jungle

The forest introduces animals such as the badger and frog. The savannah expands that collection with animals including the elephant and lion, followed by the desert and jungle farther along the route.

The jungle brings another substantial jump in earning potential. Its animals include bats, lizards, parrots, koalas, crocodiles, gorillas, and tigers.

Rarity alone does not tell you how much an animal earns. For example, a Gold lion earned 3.1k per second, while a much rarer Ruby Quawker earned 1.6k per second. Compare the displayed income before deciding which animal deserves space in your collection.

Use this progression loop while working through the early areas:

  1. Throw food and collect animals.
  2. Use their earnings to upgrade your pull-up stand.
  3. Train to increase your Throw Power.
  4. Buy better food to improve your chances of attracting rarer animals.
  5. Throw again and check which area you reach.

Mountains and Deep Waters

Later progression brings you into the mountains and eventually deep waters. Deep waters includes whales, Megalodon, and Kraken, giving you a different collection to work toward after the land-based areas.

Open the index when you enter a new zone. Its animal entries help you see what you have collected and what remains in that area. Use those gaps to choose a collection goal, then compare each new catch’s income with the animals you already have equipped.

Alternate training with throws rather than spending all your time on the pull-up stand. Collecting another productive animal gives you more income to put toward your next upgrades.

Halloween Areas: HarvestField and PhantomHarbor

The Halloween extension follows this order:

Throw Food For Animals — Halloween Areas: HarvestField and PhantomHarbor

ShadowRealm → HarvestField → PhantomHarbor

HarvestField introduces seasonal catches including Jack-o’-lanterns, Witch Cats, scarecrows, and Zombie Crows. PhantomHarbor continues the spooky theme with animals such as banshees and ghost pirates.

Open the index and scroll past ShadowRealm to find both Halloween sections. Keep throwing after reaching HarvestField while continuing to upgrade your training equipment and food.

The Halloween update also adds Tier 15 and Tier 16 food. PhantomLobster is the final food shown in this version, and the ghost pirate sits at the end of PhantomHarbor’s index.

Once you reach that final area, compare different versions of its animals. Size and mutation can produce very different earnings, even when two catches share the same base animal.

What to Upgrade When Your Throws Fall Short

Your progression depends on three connected mechanics:

  • Pull-up training increases Throw Power, helping you throw farther.
  • Better food attracts rarer animals, improving your collection opportunities.
  • Animals generate money, funding food and training upgrades.

Upgrade your pull-up stand when reaching farther is your immediate goal, then spend time training on it. Buy better food when you want to improve the animals you attract.

Aim for the throw meter’s perfect result when testing your reach. Compare your landing area across successful throws, then return to training if you keep stopping short of the next zone.
