What Is the Golden Apple, and How Much Does It Cost?
The Throw Food For Animals Golden Apple costs $120 QA and is a Secret-rarity, Tier 9 food purchased with in-game money. It gives you another food upgrade for attracting rarer animals, but training still matters: your throwing power determines which areas you can reach.
This is a separate purchase from the basic Apple, which costs $30 near the beginning of the game. Look for the full Golden Apple name when browsing the Food Shop.
Here is where it sits among the nearby food options:
| Food | Rarity | Tier | Price |
|---|---|---|---|
| Royal Steak | Mythic | 9 | $50 QA |
| Golden Apple | Secret | 9 | $120 QA |
| Crystal Melon | Secret | 10 | $4 QI |
| Ember Bacon | Secret | 10 | $18 QI |
Royal Steak and Golden Apple share a tier, despite having different rarities and prices. Crystal Melon is the next food listed after the apple and moves you into Tier 10.

How to Get the Golden Apple
Head to the blue-and-white Food Shop stand, just to the left of your base entrance.

- Open the food selection.
- Find Golden Apple among the Tier 9 options.
- Purchase it once your balance reaches $120 QA.
- Return to the throwing line and throw your new food to attract animals.
Your animals generate the money needed for this purchase. While building your balance, use Equip Best in the Animals menu to keep stronger earners in your base.
If capacity becomes the problem, the base upgrade button sits to the right of your base entrance. Each upgrade adds room for two more animals. Compare that expense with your food and training upgrades before spending: another slot helps when you have a worthwhile animal ready to fill it.
You can also sell unwanted animals directly from the Animals menu or visit the red-and-white sell stand to the right of the throwing area. Use either option to clear out catches you no longer want to keep.
Your base continues earning money while you are offline. That passive income gives you another way to build the balance for food purchases between sessions, alongside the money your animals generate while you play.
How to Make Your Throws More Productive
Better food and stronger throws work together. Food quality helps you attract rarer animals, while greater Throw Power lets you reach farther biomes with more valuable creatures.

Upgrade your pull-up bar and train between batches of throws. Buying a better bar improves training; doing pull-ups builds the power you need to increase your distance. During active training, click the pop-up events that temporarily double your training speed.
At the throwing line, aim for the perfect +20 power result. That timing can matter near a biome boundary, where a weaker throw can land short of the area you are trying to reach.
After collecting animals, compare their displayed income rather than choosing only by their rarity odds. An impressive odds label does not automatically mean an animal earns more than another catch. Use Equip Best again as your collection improves.
When to Move On to Crystal Melon
Image: Roblox / Goofy Chupacabra
Aim for Crystal Melon when you can afford the $4 QI price and want to advance to Tier 10. It shares the Golden Apple’s Secret rarity, so the tier increase is the useful distinction here.
Keep training while you earn that money. If your throws keep landing in the same biome, spend time building Throw Power instead of expecting a food purchase alone to carry you farther.
For income-focused progression, replace weaker animals with stronger catches rather than stopping to finish every biome’s collection. Completing an Animal Index collection awards cash, but moving into better biomes can advance your earnings faster than hunting down every missing animal in an earlier area.
