How Luck Boosts Work
Buying a Lucky Throw is only half the job—you still need to activate it. Throw Food For Animals luck boosts include Lucky Throws and the shop’s Server Luck option, which reaches a 16x cap in the Halloween build. Knowing which boost you’re using matters when you’re chasing rare animals, mutations, and larger sizes.
Keep those options separate from your regular progression upgrades. Training increases Throw Power, letting you reach farther areas, while better food attracts rarer animals. Cash and training passes help that progression, but their effects serve different purposes from luck.

Activate Your Lucky Throw Before Launching
Purchasing Lucky Throws does not automatically make your next throw lucky. Select the Lucky Throw option before launching your food.

Follow this sequence:
- Purchase Lucky Throws through the in-game shop.
- Select the Lucky Throw option before your next launch.
- Throw your food.
- Watch for the rainbow-style throw effect that accompanies the activated boost.
That activation step is easy to miss when you’re moving between the shop, pull-up bar, and throwing area. Check your selection before launching instead of assuming the purchase already applied it.
An activated Lucky Throw can produce combinations such as a Rainbow shadow demon in Colossus size. The animal, mutation, and size all matter to the result, so look beyond the animal’s name when you inspect your catch.
Server Luck Reaches 16x
Server Luck is another shop option, with a maximum multiplier of 16x in the Halloween build. It can be used alongside Lucky Throws.

Even with both options active, individual results vary. Boosted throws can still land a Diamond Large animal while you’re chasing something much rarer. Keep your expectations tied to the actual catch rather than the multiplier alone.
If you’re pursuing a particular animal, check its area in the index and work on reaching that area consistently. Luck and throwing distance handle different parts of the process: the boost accompanies your throw, while Throw Power helps determine how far your food travels.
Improve Your Food and Throw Power Alongside Luck
Keep upgrading your regular equipment while hunting rare catches. The core progression loop gives you several concrete ways to improve your opportunities:

- Train on pull-up stands to gain Throw Power.
- Upgrade your pull-up bar as your income grows.
- Buy better food to attract rarer animals.
- Practice the timing meter to land perfect throws.
- Equip stronger earners so your collection funds further upgrades.
Perfect throws reach a displayed +20 power result. Aim for that timing when you’re close to reaching another area.
The permanent passes support training and income:
| Game pass | Price | Effect |
|---|---|---|
| x2 Training Power | 149 Robux | Double XP on every pull-up, forever |
| x2 Cash | 99 Robux | Double cash from every animal, forever |
Choose between those effects based on the upgrade you’re pursuing. Use the training effect to support Throw Power progression; use the cash effect to increase earnings from your animals.
Compare Earnings Before Replacing Animals
A dramatic reveal does not automatically mean you caught your strongest earner. Compare the displayed income before changing your lineup.
For example, a gold mantis shrimp earns 45 million per second, while a seahorse with the Big mutation earns 41 million per second. The larger animal in that comparison earns less.
Use Equip Best after collecting stronger animals, and check your plot when it fills up. Older catches can occupy space while earning far less than animals from later areas.
For an income-focused collection, judge each boosted catch by what it adds to your lineup. For a rarity hunt, check the index and the catch’s mutation and size. Those are different goals, and a throw can advance one without improving the other.
